great parents, great kids

How can one not thrive with such company and love? There are many people who look down on China's race, and these people are all nonsense. Our race is very good, and there is no problem, but what needs to be reflected is that our culture and concepts have not moved forward but reversed in disguise when the whole world is rushing towards modernization.

Especially the love and guidance for children, after watching this film, I think the gap between us and it is unimaginable. I know that the main point of this film is to tell the pain of 9/11 to Americans and how to face the pain and rebuild themselves after the huge disaster through the perspective of children, but I really can’t ignore the children’s parents and their children. The love given to the boy by the people around him, of course, especially the love between father and son (fathers are more likely to be absent from the child's life). Parents so respect the existence of the child as a living body, love him, but do not deprive him on the contrary, encourage the child to discover life by himself, discover himself, and rebuild himself in the pain, what an excellent family this is!

I very much hope that all those who have been and are going to be parents will watch this film. I think it will give some impetus. Maybe we can't fully become that kind of family now, but even if it is touched, it is good and it will change. Our society needs qualified and excellent family members, because the hope of the whole society does not depend on others, but on every child who knows how to love and has an independent personality! For society, people always come first!

  • Oskar Schell: It's just a box! An empty box!

Linda Schell: I know it's an empty box! I know this. But I did it for me, and I did it for you so we can at least try and say goodbye to him. Because he's gone, Oskar, he's gone and he's not coming back. Never. I don't know why a man flew a plane into a building. I don't know why my husband is dead. But no matter how hard you try, Oskar, it's never gonna make sense because it doesn't. It doesn't... make... sense!

Oskar Schell: Fukozowa you! You don't know anything!

  • [first lines]

Oskar Schell: There are more people alive now than have died in all of human history, but the number of dead people is increasing. One day, there isn't going to be any room to bury anyone anymore. So, what about skyscrapers for dead people, that are built down. They could be underneath the skyscrapers for living people, that are built up. We could bury people 100 floors down. And a whole dead world could be underneath the living one.
