"Extremely Loud, Very Close": Missing is the pain of breathing

The soft piano sound at the beginning of the film is matched with the strange human body fluttering shots, creating a very strong sense of immersion. From this, a faint sadness began to slowly permeate, and along with this lingering sadness, there was another warm warmth flowing through the whole film...

It has been 20 years since the 9.11 incident on the other side of the ocean. People who have not experienced it in person have gradually forgotten it. For families who have experienced the disaster and suffered trauma, the wound will never heal!

When the catastrophe happened, the little boy Oskar's father was in the Twin Towers, and he never came out. In the end, he left only six recorded phone calls to his family.

The collapse of the pillars caused a heavy blow to the once warm family. After the loss of the beloved, the mother, who was always bright, was like a withered rose, quickly withering...

The son Oskar, who was already ill, spent a lot of time with his father playing games and getting along with him, and his affection was far better than that of his mother. After the catastrophe, the son fell into deep thoughts and self-blame for his father (he dared not answer the phone call from his father before his death that day).

He began to abuse himself, using physical pain to numb the unstoppable longing for his father.

Seeing that the once happy family was about to fall irrevocably into the abyss, a turning point appeared, and the son had no intention of finding a key in his father's relics. Following the clues left by his father and finding the owner of the key, he became Oskar's spiritual sustenance. He quickly followed his father's teaching and began to act.

Oskar's behavior finally influenced and led the strong mother to participate together. In the days of healing, the mother and son began to recover emotionally. They supported each other and worked hard to get out of the haze of pain.

The performance of the actors in the film is commendable. Thomas Horn, who plays the son, is the absolute protagonist. His struggle, stubbornness, rebelliousness and self-blame are accurately displayed one by one;

The silence, helplessness, and strength of the mother's actor Sandra Bullock after the catastrophe are also empathetic;

The actor played by his father is actor Tom Hanks. In fact, he didn't play many scenes in the film, but the six-part phone message to his family allowed him to show the actor's acting skills in a limited space.

From the first phone message that was a little relaxed at the beginning of the accident, to the sixth message that finally realized that he was in a desperate situation and could not escape, Tom Hanks did not show up. Only with his voice and intonation, he accurately showed the emotions of the parties from being relaxed. , progressing to the gradual change of tension, anxiety, fear...

Especially the last short and hasty phone call to say goodbye to his wife was enough to make the audience burst into tears in an instant!

The call of the relatives is close to the ear, and the yin and yang will be separated forever, but he is helpless. This kind of pain is like a knife, and people who have not experienced it can't understand it at all.

I only hope that the living will not sink in the thoughts of the deceased, come out of the shadow of the disaster as soon as possible, and cheer up and continue their lives again!

    The trauma brought by 911, on the way to find the answer, re-warm the heart with love. A subject worthy of attention, but this movie puts it all on the little boy to show it, it's too single... not emotionally moving. I especially hate this little boy, thinking that only myself is hurt in the whole world, so I keep hurting people who really care about him.
