I just saw a movie, called "Wall Street---Money never sleeps". considering it's a suggested movie about finance to students who major finance, like me ,I saw it this morning.
However, being educated in chinese during our class, with my poor english and the weak translation from a website, frankly, I can hardly catch every words in this money, especially when they were talking some professional terms about
financle things or some government or some human being characteristic or something else, ,,
But ,from the point of view of an ordinary audience, I can only dig out some simple relationship between those roles. in this money fight, can't say which one a good guy or a bad guy,or who is doing the right thing or wrong thing.
The end of the movie is still a "happy ending", as usual. but can't say Jacob win this fight . Jacob finally did help winnie got the 100,000,000 from her dad for their family, but he is still a loser in Wall Street. Can;t say he is a bad guy because he lied to Winnie about everything, he does love Winnie and all he done is just for their future.
Can't say Gorden Gekko is totally bad guy and always treat everyone and doing things bad. Indeed, he lied and got the money skillfully from his daughter by using Jacob, he wants get back what he lost before, it's a revenge, he's so mean ,a bad guy.but of course, he's so smart in being an business man and stand still in the Wall Street,he could count to be a kind of winner in this fight,I think.Sometimes ,businessmen are discribed as a crue and cold monster who only put money to the top of list, but Gorden Gekko finally decided to give 100,000,000 to his daughter, his grandson,a famlily. He is still a Father in his own family. Not the best ,at least he is trying to be good.
This is an excellent fight about money without fires and arms, but it's no less crue than any big fight~! And behind this fight, we can dig out the most from it, is the real face of all kinds of characteristic of human being.
As the book Gorden Gekko wrote: Greed is Good.
This is what most people would choose in front of material world.
