The stunts are the biggest highlight of the film, but in my opinion, aside from the stunts, the compact story structure of the film makes me more happy. Today's foreign blockbusters, as big as they are said, are nothing more than magnificent scenes, twists and turns of storylines, complex casts, consumption of tickets and lengthy time... But in terms of the latter, "Poseidon" is a 99-minute film. Chang really interprets a thrilling escape in a compact and urgent manner. Maybe this kind of film is not suitable for long-span operation, which also shows the director's wisdom. Compared with the large-scale narration at the beginning of "King Kong", "Poseidon" seems to be a lot straight to the point.
The story takes place at sea, similar luxury cruise ships, similar shipwrecks, similar love, similar human nature, similar escapes... These all make people think of the "Titanic" filmed in 1997. But on the two points analyzed above, it is not difficult to find the difference between the two. But comparing the two still has a lot of touchpoints.
In addition to the visual impact, disaster films leave the audience full of fantasy and longing for the human nature and love in the desperate situation contained in the storyline. However, with too many repetitions of such topics, it is inevitable that there will be some "aesthetic fatigue". Of course, the theme of Acura's goodness of human nature is the basic responsibility of popular movies, but after all, it is easy to overuse it, and it is difficult to attract audiences if it is overdone. Therefore, the current script should have some better ideas, so as not to be "poor skills".
The above are some of my afterthoughts, casually chatting and chatting for record.
