"Poseidon" and "Super Mario"

"Poseidon" is a typical "tense" film. This type of film pulls the audience's mind through a series of tense episodes. Movies that use a similar approach include "Life and Death" and so on.

The whole film is very simple in terms of plot. I think "Poseidon" is quite similar to the Super Mario game on the red and white machine. :)

* Characters zigzag in the shiphouse about a few hundred meters, and the scene changes constantly. Now it's open space, now it's pipelines, now it's single-plank bridges, and now it's underwater.
* Every 10 meters forward is a level. Sometimes heavy objects (such as engines and elevators) will fall from above, and sometimes fire will be thrown from below....
* Choose different foreground methods in different scenes. Running, walking carefully, squatting, acting like narrow pipes, opening necessary doors, using external forces (such as water pressure tanks).
* 1 life to die for every pass.

The ultimate goal of the game is to win. The necessary premise for victory is that the "key characters" cannot die before passing the final level. The daughter of the former mayor here is the key player. Of course, in the end, she will pass the customs smoothly.

Poseidon quotes

  • Dylan Johns: [after the ship is capsized, to Robert when he asks to go to the ballroom] You suddenly have the urge to go dancing?

  • Dylan Johns: Does your husband...

Maggie James: oh, does that work much?

    Dylan Johns: What?

Maggie James: The tentative mention of a husband I'm supposed to correct, even though you clocked my wedding finger twice already.
