When Mike went to stop Joe, of course Joe refused to listen to Mike's persuasion. Mike asked Joe to kill her, and came to remind Joe that the consequences of doing so would be pursued by the Federation for life. Mike was so desperate, Joe finally accepted Mike's proposal and came to change the detonator. Mike asked Tyler to bring Larriel, intimidating Larryl to convince the Klingons to stop the war and restore their original prosperity. Only after the war is stopped, can this universe truly restore peace!
