Tribute to the spirit of the nobility

"Aristocratic Thief" is a good-looking movie. The British humor is too high-end and the atmosphere is high-end. It tests people's IQ quite a lot, and all kinds of contrast are in it.

Soundtrack: British Rock VS Tsarist Russian Symphony. Finance: The sun never sets. Empire VS China and Russia in the BRIC countries.

Characters: trying to cover up his aging British nobleman with his beard, VS a
loyal servant with the ecstasy muscles of the colonial emperor’s Popeye.

Art: The aristocrat who claims to love art is looking for a painting by the Spanish aristocratic painter Goya. The purpose is not for art, but for the secret of wealth behind the painting...

A movie full of self-deprecating feelings, but using The light humor pays tribute to the British people's adherence to the aristocratic spirit

Paul/10,000/Uncle Depp doesn't have a star. Pity my Paul

If the male protagonist changed to a British actor and didn't arrange for a disgusting bearded terrier, I guess this movie would still be able to see Depp trying to pretend to be stupid and suppress his accent, wouldn't he feel embarrassed?

Mortdecai quotes

  • Martland: Can you think of a good reason why I shouldn't arrest you right now?

    Mortdecai: I eschew discomfort?

  • Mortdecai: Oh, my darling, I tried desperately to be unfaithful to you, I really did. But I just couldn't do it.

Johanna: It's a terrible moment when you find yourself falling in love with your own spouse, isn't it?

Mortdecai: Now that is the look that softens every bone in my body, except one.
