a well made indie film w realist value n dreamy aesthetics, narratively n visually exposing the hypocrisy of American Dream—facade happiness and the uncontrollable struggling life of characters. But what makes this film stand out from thr other ones is this story is told from the innocent and unfiltered view of children, surronding the whole film with a seemingly joyful mood, which brings out another sense of melancoly and desperation among the audience.
Charaters r shaped in a geniune n believable way, while the raw long shot applied in the end is a good choice to visually strengthen the social problems in American society as well, but tbr the close up on the protaganist shouting Fuck You is a bit off the realistic track.
