"Paradise" only for children

1. At the beginning, I mistakenly think that Bobby is the image of a profit-making little boss who guides strangers to extort him, and later realizes that it is to protect children from pedophiles. I thought that Bobby might be a positive image in the movie, and it was true later. Although he was the administrator who "receives money", he had a good relationship with the residents and would help them to the best of his ability. 2. Halley is one of thousands of mothers in the world. There is a certain sense of responsibility in carrying the child when the child is tired after being evicted, but it is far from enough. Raising children is not only to provide them with food, drink and sleep, but also the guidance of spiritual growth and the education and cultivation of good morals. But these, Halley himself does not actually have, how to educate children?

This actually refers to a universal, global, and class-based problem. Children from poor families, or children whose parents have a low level of education, are often not guided by scientific growth due to the class they are in and the people they know and come into contact with. It ends up being all the kids in a wet market playing in the wet market and a motel kid playing near the motel. If nothing else, their children will continue to do so. Class solidification is serious at every level.

3. It has always been believed that to measure the level of development of a society, it depends on how tolerant it is to the people at the bottom. Take Halley's distance. She went everywhere to find a job, but she was opened because she didn't obey the unspoken rules of nightclubs. This shows that she was more self-respecting at first. Later, I hit a wall everywhere, and the things I sold were confiscated. After I lost the source of income, I could not maintain the needs of the goods sold, and finally embarked on that road. Also a little sad.

Of course, this is not to say that she is right, but that she has no other choice. For the sake of life, for the sake of her children, she has nowhere to turn until she has nowhere to go. She should be more understandable than someone who just wants to make money quickly and doesn't want to endure hardship and make money while lying down.

4. The whole community where the motel is located is a depiction of the bottom layer. Maybe they'll have a couple of people doing some "big work" selling snacks in the Disneyland next door, doing some sales. Others work in nearby snack bar shops or can't find formal employment. What they do are things with low technical content. For employers, it is the same for everyone who hires them. If they are not pleasing to the eye, they may lose their source of life. This group of people does exist, how to solve it? Only by taking the child out of foster care, the investigation of illegal behavior cannot fundamentally solve this problem, and may also cause some conflicts. This still requires the relevant departments to continue to discuss.

5. The above questions are from the perspective of adults and from the perspective of adults. Children don't want to be bothered. Although children living in this environment "can tell when adults want to cry" and "the children of the poor are in charge of their homes early", they are only children after all. Children's hearts are fragile, pure and innocent. Being a kid and having fun is the biggest thing in this kid-only Florida "paradise."

The Florida Project quotes

  • Moonee: You know why this is my favorite tree?

    Jancey: Why?

Moonee: 'Cause it's tipped over, and it's still growing.

  • Moonee: [Moonee and Scooty, sitting on a sofa, eating ice-cream cones] Mmm.

Bobby: [Ice cream drips on floor] Ok, I warned you: one drip and you're out.

    Moonee: Oh, come on!

    Bobby: 'Out now.

    Scooty: It's gonna melt outside.

    Bobby: It's melting' inside too.

    Moonee: But Bobby!

    Bobby: Out.

Bobby: [Moonee and Scooty walk out] Thank you very much!

    Moonee: You're not welcome!
