Monee's Paradise——Impressions triggered by the Chinese translation of the title

The title "The Florida Project" should mean "Florida Low Housing Project." If it was the title, I wouldn't have been wrong in the first place, but I probably wouldn't have liked the movie as much as I do now.

Before watching it, I looked up at the title of "Florida Paradise", then looked at the poster with the same high saturation as the film, and caught a glimpse of the category of "Children's Film". I guess no one would have thought that the content of its expression was so heavy that I was in tears.

paradise? Shit! ! The purgatory on earth has a real bottom-level ecology and a real life picture for the low-rent housing adjacent to the high-end entertainment resort Disneyland. Monee, a child who grew up here, her childlike innocence is as good as anyone else's. Facing the downstairs Spitting, swearing, lying, no big or small, taking advantage of other people's sympathy to cheat tips to satisfy your sweet tooth... Every day is like the local weather. The sky is clear and the sun is shining. We hate her bad behavior. If you don't get up, the audience will only sympathize with the other characters in the film and try to protect this innocence as much as possible

But everyone knows that the external environment will collapse one day. Who is to blame Monee's mother? Maybe the director throws sharp questions to the audience. The whole film does not criticize and objectively except for the ruthless face of the conductor. Calmly presenting just the right lines and beautifying or even romanticizing the filthy and stinky living environment at the end of the credits are all designs to retain the fleeting beauty?

Bobby: [Ice cream drips on floor] Ok, I warned you: one drip and you're out.

    Moonee: Oh, come on!

    Bobby: 'Out now.

    Scooty: It's gonna melt outside.

    Bobby: It's melting' inside too.

    Moonee: But Bobby!

    Bobby: Out.
