FORGIVE

I probably read some introductions before watching it. I have a hunch that movies are not so easy to understand. I watched it with my wife. My son is 1 year old. He was playing next to him and had to look at him, so he didn't watch it carefully, even intermittently.

The end result is that I don't understand much. Then quickly look for film reviews, hoping to understand. But I have to say that several film reviews are typical helpless. After I read it again, I even want to say that several film reviews were written based on misunderstandings.

Let me talk about the main points
that puzzle us: 1. Who is the old cleaner and what is it?
2. The identity
of the heroine 3. What does the heroine and the heroine explain when they meet
4. The heroine knocks on the table for the hero and talks about space flight The fantasies of the actor, the male protagonist plays the saw piano for the female protagonist, and the female protagonist has the illusion of a space station. What does it mean?

My wife and I have had the following conjectures and misunderstandings:
1. When I saw most of the time, I always felt that the old man was actually the male protagonist, because when the female protagonist wrote the phrase "FORGIVE" that forced old tears on his hand, I What I understand is that the heroine let the old man FORGIVE her... The elderly hero came to Earth1 to look for his wife and children, but saw that his wife and children were dead and depressed, so he "sees himself disgusting" and burns his eyes. Burned both ears.
Well, this understanding is really unreasonable. The race of the old man is not very similar to the male protagonist, but the face is smaller and the facial features are more compact. At the same time, I really feel that this setting will be more interesting in my subconscious mind.

2. The heroine is actually from Earth2. Same as Doubt 1, I also faintly hope that it is set like this, turning around at the end. But as the end gets closer and closer, I have to give up such conjectures, because the movie cannot justify itself if it is set in this way.

3. What does the meeting between the heroine and the heroine show? Originally there was no such doubt, seeing this scene (the heroine is decadent, the heroine 2 is glamorous, looking at the heroine 1 with incomprehensible and sizing eyes), the first reaction is that the heroine of Earth2 graduated from MIT and lived a comfortable life . After reading the film reviews, some people said that the heroine 2 actually came to Earth1 in despair and helplessness, which made me start to have doubts about this issue.

================================================== ===
Understanding after watching it again (just to talk about the understanding of the plot):

It is the old cleaner who really helped the movie to point the question, and what he pointed out was FORGIVE.

The old man buried himself in the repeated cleaning work every day, curled up silently in a small corner of the world, and even saw that he was disgusting and didn't want to hear his own voice every day. I don't know how many years of hatred I have accumulated, but I have been unable to forgive myself. And the old man thinks that the heroine knows why he tortured him so much, because he perceives that the heroine is just like himself-unable to forgive himself.
So the word FORGIVE from the hostess made tears flow. The heroine’s FORGIVE told the old man and also told herself. The hostess is eager to forgive, and the target of the crime John is alive, so what the hostess desires most is John's forgiveness. Of course, the hostess also hopes to compensate and hope for self-salvation, but the most hopeful thing is to be forgiven.
The heroine still has a chance to fight for John's forgiveness, and the old man only has the possibility of self-forgiveness. One sentence FORGIVE, to persuade the old man to forgive himself who once committed the sin.
The hostess is undoubtedly more fortunate. She may not be forgiven by John in the end, but gave John a valuable opportunity to regain the lost. Therefore, the hostess also has a good reason for self-forgiveness. She smiled and returned from work from the cleaning staff’s rest area. Home...

Does the heroine 1 see the heroine 2, mean total despair? At least not in the plot of the movie.
There is a theory mentioned in the movie that Earth2 is a mirror image of Earth1, which is not necessarily completely synchronized, but the basic behavior will be the same. For example, if Earth sends troops to attack Earth2, Earth2 will do the same.
So heroine 1 will go to Earth2, heroine 2 will also go to Earth1, but heroine 1 chooses to go to Earth2 because she can't forgive herself, abandon herself and has nowhere to go, while heroine 2 is probably because her life is smooth. Get the opportunity to fulfill your dream (the layout of the female master’s bedroom, the master’s skillful assembly of telescopes at the male’s house, and the planet Rubik’s Cube played by the female master at the beach, all indicate that the female master is a science girl obsessed with astronomy).
The hostess 2 is dressed glamorously and has a calm face. When she sees her decadent herself, she looks confused and unfamiliar, indicating that the two have lived through four different years and have completely different lives. As for why the heroine 2 and not the hero 2 came to Earth1, it is probably because the two earths are mirror images of each other but not exactly the same (the theory in the film).
Based on this, the ending is actually to explain that when the male lead goes to Earth2, he will really see the family members who have been lost due to the fault of female lead 1. This is not desperate.
However, I still think that the film gives a feeling of despair. Although I am not sure if it was intentional. Why do you think so? Because of "another earth", it is impossible to exist in the real world, and in the whole film, except for the other earth, everything is too realistic. Putting aside the setting of another earth, the hope brought by the end of the film is simply impossible. It may be really difficult to make up for the mistakes committed, and this unforgivable and self-salvation pain will last a lifetime.

What do the illusions about astronauts and space stations that the hero and the heroine bring to each other represent? I used to suspect that the memories they had left after reaching Earth1 from Earth2 were awakened. In fact, it is not that complicated: the heroine comforted the soul of the hero with the astronaut's fantasy, and the performance of the hero feedback the result of this comfort-let the heroine feel the habit of loneliness in the music and gain in loneliness A quiet astronaut (the astronaut in the heroine’s fantasy is a male).
So this paragraph just shows that the two people comfort each other and communicate with each other, especially that the male protagonist obtains a kind of happiness from the female protagonist.

Finally, add a feeling. The younger brother of the hostess told the hostess that he was admitted as the winner of the opportunity to go to Earth2, and told the hostess "you must write me back this time."
From the beginning of the film to this place, the film's account of the heroine's life after she was released from prison makes people think that the heroine's family is indifferent and that the family of her four years away is still living his life safely. The family's indifference is precisely one of the reasons why the heroine wants to escape Earth1.
However, when I saw this place, I realized that my brother had been writing letters to the sister in prison, but the sister had never replied. The family presents a sense of distance and a seemingly indifferent atmosphere. In fact, it is because the heroine cannot be forgiven, nor can she forgive herself, so she has isolated herself from the world.
With the explanation from this place, I once again returned to the true theme of this movie: FORGIVE.

over.

In one scene, she explained the mystery of the universe with percussive sounds. The eyes full of love really envied me. In another scene, she sat in front of the window, meditating in the lightly floating dust, which calmed my heart. .

A beautiful film about redemption. The shots and colors are all great, the ending feels a little hopeless, and the plot is very catchy. The love between the male lead and the female lead is atrocious. . , look tangled
