From the above video, we can see that the most basic settings of "downsizing" are impossible to achieve. So, from the start, I didn't count on the accuracy of the basic science-related design of the film. What I didn't expect was that even geography, sociology, politics, economics, and even climate change were portrayed so naively. The unnamed side character who gets drunk in the bar and the objections raised by Dusan, the most jerkiest character in the film, are the most realistic lines. I refrained from pointing out all the academic mistakes of the film, but just wanted to emphasize one line in the film: "We are too close to the sea here, so there are no mosquitoes". It can be seen that no one from the crew has been to the beach.
role. The male protagonist Paul is an ordinary person who is easily influenced by others and has no opinion. He said it himself, he didn't accomplish a single thing. To be honest, the character was a bit of a failure (it's fair to say that he ended up giving up the chance to change his life simply because he didn't want to hike 11 hours). Dusan is a self-aware big jerk, a more real and hateful character. Ngloc Lan's character is similar to the protagonist of a royal film: strong, kind, and opinionated. It's a pity that the language, background, and accent of the speaker all seem to demean the character. Fortunately, she was perfected well later in the film.
Actors. It was a lot of fun to see Matt Damon make a fool of himself again (Are you fat again, Matt?). Christoph Waltz played Dusan the bastard to the fullest, and praised him by name. It can be seen that the role of Ngloc Lan is very difficult to play, and Zhou Hong's performance is unexpectedly not embarrassing. Neil Patrick Harris has less scenes than expected, but his part doesn't disappoint me.
Personally, I really like the initial setting of this film, and there are a lot of very controversial topics in the film. Population expansion and climate change are real problems, and shrinking human beings can effectively alleviate them, but it will not cure the symptoms. Various academic mistakes in the film can largely mislead the audience. This is what pissed me off the most: the movie mentions that "the sixth mass extinction is about to begin." Little do they know that the sixth mass extinction has begun for hundreds of years.
All in all, I didn't expect the movie to be good from the beginning, and even thought it would be a bad movie. I just looked at it for the environmental and urban life aspects it involved. The movie really sucks as I expected, and that's really frustrating to me. When will the industry be able to do a good job of commercial films that explore real problems?

Please go over the wall and watch the video yourself. If you don't want to jump over the wall, I can only see you as a character like the hero.
