It's a growth story

I was looking forward to watching the trailer. After all, the theme of getting smaller has too many interesting entry points, the interaction of people with the environment after getting smaller, the impact on the social system, the relationship between "little people" and "adults"... It's a pity It is mentioned in the film more or less succinctly, but not expanded. In the end, it is still a story of personal growth based on the background and opportunity of "getting smaller".

Even if the living environment is turned upside down, if there is no growth and change in oneself, life will not be different. Three stars for the story, one star for the Vietnamese heroine and hippie neighbors, supporting the whole film's laughter.

3.5 I especially like the reverse thinking of the first hour and a half, the expansion of immigration into space, the "shrinking" was compared with death intentionally or unintentionally by the husband and wife, making shrinking into an alternative post-human state. The discussion of narrowing human rights and obligations extends from paying taxes to saving all of humanity, but what exactly is human at this moment? Payne continues to discuss this broad but far-reaching topic with great humor. I don't really like the last half hour.
