Ideal and reality are indispensable

I gave 4 stars entirely because of Vivien Leigh, she is so beautiful, this movie broke my heart, gloomy, depressed, desperate, this smell will spread out of the movie, at present my heart can't accept it, so there are some places where the double speed is turned on .

I really can't accept the character of Stanley, even Marlon Brando, this person has played the role of scum, and combined with the actor's life, he is indeed the best representative of desire itself (also Alfred Jones' wild Representative, I can understand why Lao Wang doesn't like him anymore (hh), I was very angry after watching the movie, but after watching the actor's life, this depression has dissipated a lot.

People who don't die well and take desire as the only direction in life will never end well, just as I expected.

Of course, it's not for Blanche's whitewashing, her pretentiousness is true, and it is also true that her weakness must be supported by someone.

And there is a film review definitely written by Stanley Benley. From his point of view, the interpretation of Blanche is of course full of various desires. Of course, I will never deny that Blanche is absolutely idealized. But it doesn't mean that she has no desire, desire. If you extend its connotation, it can also be called pursuit. Blanche's pursuit of gentlemen and young handsome guys must be said to be desire.

And did Stanley have no pursuit and no hypocrisy? He said he didn't do anything to Blanche, liar. How could he be so keen to torture her for his wife's property?

They each have their own meaning, I think, which means ideal and reality, both must have.

Ideals are too fragile things.

Although I hate to admit it.

And reality, only reality, is absolutely vulgar.

Too extreme points are easy to fall, such as Vivien Leigh, such as Malone.

So as a human being, you should still be moderate.

A Streetcar Named Desire quotes

  • Blanche: Marry me, Mitch.

Mitch: No, I don't think I want to marry you anymore... No, you're not clean enough to bring into the house with my mother.

  • Stanley: How about a few more details on that subject... Let's cop a gander at the bill of sale... What do you mean? She didn't show you no papers, no deed of sale or nothin' like that?... Well then, what was it then? Given away to charity?... Oh I don't care if she hears me. Now let's see the papers... Now listen. Did you ever hear of the Napoleonic code, Stella?... Now just let me enlighten you on a point or two... Now we got here in the state of Louisiana what's known as the Napoleonic code. You see, now according to that, what belongs to the wife belongs to the husband also, and vice versa... It looks to me like you've been swindled baby. And when you get swindled under Napoleonic code, I get swindled too and I don't like to get swindled... Where's the money if the place was sold?
