The plot of the TV series is a bit lacking in calcium, but it really taught me a lesson.
War is always the best way to destroy humanity. Some people died in the war, and some people survived. Even the survivors have suffered a huge psychological blow, and their beliefs and values have suffered an unprecedented shock. Those who are shaken are no different from the dead; those who stand firm are the last survivors.
