most impressive

Eugene had a murmur in his heart, but he couldn't wait to go to war. Dad told him that he was most worried that after Eugene came back, he would not have life, love, and spark in his eyes. At last Eugene came back, and at night his father sat outside Eugene's room with a heavy face, listening to Eugene's endless nightmares, howling and moaning. Eugene is a survivor of the war, his young comrade-in-arms stayed on a small island in the Pacific Ocean forever, but his soul lost its vitality with the lives of his comrades-in-arms. The shadow left by a war takes a lifetime to heal.

It tells the story of the fierce fighting in the Pacific Islands region throughout World War II. Sleeping on the hard drive for a long time, Spielberg's film is full of aura, and the war scenes are intense, but the character description is a little bit worse. War is merciless, artillery fire has no eyes, soldiers fight against invaders with flesh and blood, casualties are just commonplace, mental illness is more troubled, and the good and evil of human nature are exposed. Whether the joy and enthusiasm of young soldiers when they entered the war was wiped out in the blood of the war.

I have to say that I am very disappointed compared to "Band of Brothers". I am more sympathetic to a film that was born to be compared with my fellow brothers and sisters. It is bound to stumble.
