human dirt

bruce is really an out-and-out tragic character, indeed pitiful, and indeed hateful, and as a character and a product of creation, one of the things worthy of admiration for bruce is one of his qualities: "simple". It's so bad that he threatens underage girls to bite him, frames gangsters, self-directs and acts by himself and uses his colleagues' sexual orientation as a stalk to make troubles to show his importance. Turning his face and scolding his mother, behaviors like this make bruce a villain who wants to beat him. On the other hand, the loss of his wife and daughter has split personalities because he misses them too much, suffering from bipolar disorder, unable to extricate himself, without true friends, facing pure single mothers who have never been able to have an intersection, and finally hanged themselves with the scarf given by the other party. The sadness behind it does take some aftertaste to taste.
Personal thoughts: First, it would be better if the director could leave some blanks (such as empty shots) in appropriate places; second, if there were more hints/descriptions of Bruce's thoughts on his wife and daughter, it would be more enriching for the character sex.

Filth quotes

  • Bruce Robertson: See, every time a woman drops her trousers: promotion. Every time a man drops theirs: disciplinary action. Where's the equality in that?

  • Bruce Robertson: The games are always, repeat always, being played. But nobody plays the games like me. Detective Sergeant Bruce Robertson, soon to be Detective Inspector Bruce Robertson. You just have to be the best, and I usually am. Same rules apply.
