In fact, I want to give five stars to Yimei's acting skills, but after thinking about it, I should take off the fan filter and make an objective evaluation. There are basically no spoilers, so please rest assured to eat.
First of all, if it is because the X-Men entered the pit of Yimei's friends, you will probably be very shocked after watching this.
In general, I don't think it's a yellow violent comedy with imitation traces. Except that the narrative rhythm in the first half of the whole story is a little loose, the rest of the story is quite satisfactory. The second half is full of highlights. The male protagonist's state transitions and emotional explosions in various situations reflect his acting skills. The few scenes at the end are really amazing, and different people should have different understandings after watching it. The animation at the end of the film is a metaphor and a contrast, allowing people to have time to reflect on the whole movie after quickly cutting to the shady ending.
Of course, in terms of the plot, it's a bit of a pity not to mention the reason why the male protagonist became like this. It would be nice if you could briefly talk about what happened in the past. In addition, I probably didn't understand some places, and I felt that there were some plots that had little to do with the theme, which is why I felt that the previous plots were scattered.
In other respects, I don't agree with Yimei's exaggerated acting skills in this film, but I personally feel that this slightly hard acting can just amplify the emotions of the characters and infect the audience. The film's ability to win a US award is also an affirmation of his performance in it.
In terms of expressing thoughts, it is a little weak, but it is not useless, at least it does not make me feel that it is tragedy for the sake of tragedy. There are a few episodes that really made my heart ache. From this point of view, the movie is still a success.
