Several times the sunset is red, only friends are real

It's a somewhat dull, slow-paced movie, with characters dangling around with a heavy southern accent, which made it a little bit difficult for me to understand. But the light and unintentional warmth pervaded it, and I saw the end unknowingly. In the nursing home, the touching scene of Hoke feeding Daisy made many people have tears in their eyes. Thinking about it again, perhaps, this scene is also a year-round situation that we cannot escape.

I think of my grandmother, who is now 85 years old. I spent my childhood with her when she was a well-built young woman in her sixties. I still vividly remember that every now and then she would give me pocket money to buy popsicles while my mother was not paying attention. She is a stubborn old lady. I know that her retirement salary is not high, and she is not too afraid to take it, but she always puts the money into my hands or pockets very hard, with more strength than me as a child. Now, she was taller than her peers at that time and shrunk to a skinny, bamboo-like body, propped up her empty clothes, and walked slowly. I can't even remember that grandma used to walk like a fly. The silver thread on the head is just like Miss Daisy, but it is so sparse that the scalp can be seen.

The physical condition is not as good as before, and the elderly have only a very small social circle. It is the greatest blessing in old age to have one or two confidants. Children can take care of daily life, but friends are the warmest thing in lonely old age. The grudges and prejudices of the master, the servant and the race can't stop this Miss Daisy from seeing the sincere friendship between her and Hoke, and she doesn't dislike it or miss it. That's enough.

For My Grandma, who's also an old lonely lady and for whom I wish all the happiness.
