I love you, so look at everyone like you. I'm like a detective hiding in search of you, as if they all knew our secrets tacitly...
Oh~ Okay, actually this movie is not so hypocritical~ I finally watched a lighthearted gay-themed "Youth Growth" film (I just canceled the "love" label), love is addicted to depression and entanglement, Similar to "Please call me by your name", I still can't agree that the last hit is "love". But Simon's sadness when he lost blue's contact information really reminded me of Elio's tears. I feel sad every time I think of that scene. It's an ending that can never start with you again. People are losing their loved ones. It will be so painful (at least for me and Ellio).
I don't think same-sex love needs to be reconciled with the world. What's more difficult may be self-affirmation and understanding from family and friends. "I'm gay", I don't need to deny that to anyone (including myself). The only thing that moved me in the whole film was Simon's father's self-reproachful tolerance and love, "Sorry, I should have noticed." Can't help but feel that Simon and Mama Simon are so lucky and happy...
After watching this movie, I suddenly want to find a pen pal, and I don’t know whose eyes I can get into with my nonsense.
