It's been a long time since I watched this movie, three times. Will I watch it again if you ask? I will answer: yes!
This is a story about love, friendship and who you are, when you are different from most people in society, whether you choose to obey the general trend and sacrifice yourself, or bravely stand up to express yourself and stay true to yourself.
In the film, Simon really likes Xiao Lan, and it also makes us realize that what love is, has nothing to do with appearance, origin, or gender. Simon and Xiaolan originated from an anonymous post on social networking sites. Starting from the exchange of emails, they met and knew each other without knowing who the other end of the email was, and finally fell in love with each other secretly. When I saw Simon accepting Martin's threat to match him with Abby in order not to expose Xiao Lan, he was actually a little angry, but he could understand it. Doesn't this just show how much he respects and cherishes Xiao Lan? You say he doesn't value his friends? No, he loves his friends very much, just like us in real life. Sometimes he may make some actions that are not particularly suitable, just to protect the people he likes. Let's talk about Martin, I really hated him when I saw him threatening Simon, but when I saw him confessing to Abby in front of everyone's eyes, I felt that this man actually has his own shining side.
