On the Characterization of "Dancer" and "Mother's Eyes"

When I saw the introduction, I immediately remembered an article "Mother's Eyes" I read when I was a child.

It is also the story of a mother who worked hard for her son not to suffer from her own genetic eye disease, and finally helped her son with surgery.

"Mother's Eyes" focuses on simplicity. The tears from the mother's invisible eyes fell on the corner of the son's eyes. Now you can rest assured that you are blind.

She worked several jobs, fearing that she would be powerless when she was blind. She got up and went home in the dark after being hit by a car. This is the image of a hard-working Chinese mother.

The story of "Dancer" focuses on the criticism of society, the choice between saving herself or saving her son, it relies on details to win, memorizing the alphabet, keeping the promise of the police officer who stole his money, her light dance and singing.

She is Maria. It's not that she is not afraid of death, but she has an obsession that is more important than death. Her hysteria before death, her transcendent singing when she is afraid, and the abrupt end of her life...

This is why "Mother's Eyes" touched us for a short period of time, while "Dancer" shocked us for a long time while stirring up tears.
