she suffocates us

Still dead, dead. My favorite movie right now can only be of this type. "Black" magnifies part of the truth of the world that I realize in my heart, how ugly the human heart is! Really, I don't think there's anything uglier than the bad guys in this movie. It further verifies a truth: what makes big mistakes is often not absolute evil (which is much rarer after all), but selfishness, greed and misunderstanding. We are a little bit angry about Selma, she is a lamb to be slaughtered, she is an angel, maybe she really does not belong to this world, and when she arrives in the kingdom of heaven, she should be able to dance freely.

There are also good people in the film, Casey, Jeff, and the female prison guard. These characters can bring people a short-term warmth, but they still can't save Thelma, so watching this movie is always so desperate. Is stinged by the cold reality. I only wish her life could be like "The Sound of Music", with fairy music fluttering everywhere, but it turns out that every time it is a fantasy in the dark. I have watched it many times, and every time I see her singing at the end being choked by a noose, with a bang, a life ceases to exist, and I still can't help crying, what can we do in the face of this hard and cruel world ?

Selma: You just need someone to pull it out.

  • Selma: I'm just not that kind of mother.

Gene Jezkova: Can't you be that kind of a mother?
