Film reviews and profiles are often misleading.

A film that is very different from the King's speech, but also a very meaningful film.

Death of the Elk.

Forbearance and restraint, but sensitive.

The Queen has been under pressure from all sides, from the Prime Minister, the public, and even her family: her son, her husband, and the source of all the pressure: Princess Diana. Is the rounded elk considered a symbol of the queen? The

queen is compared, from royals, to mothers, wives, important roles in life, compared, in that summer, in that week, she received no more support .

The elk that was rounded up unexpectedly came to the queen who was trapped in the river. She was gentle, serene and agile. The elk is a companion, trusted and close.

When the queen decided to face all this with unparalleled courage, the elk was dead, unexpectedly at the hands of others. The queen made a special trip to visit the elk, endured her grief, and congratulated the hunters on their success.

The end of the film is very interesting. Claire, who is in high spirits, has an audience with the queen, and she is full of praise for the queen. Then he turned to explanation, fell down after a few confrontations, and was completely disrupted when the queen proposed to take a walk. The queen's confession, "I have never been hated so much by anyone," brought the two back together. A joke of "remember, I'm the one who made the suggestion", everything went back and nothing changed.

The situation of the royal family has its enviable side and its embarrassing side. Change at the right time, move forward gracefully, there is no other choice.

PS: Blair's actor played Wilde's first admirer in "Wilde", so I really can't appreciate this role, so embarrassing

The Queen quotes

  • Prince Philip: Have you seen the latest funeral guest list?

    HM Queen Elizabeth II: No.

Prince Philip: I suggest you keep it that way. A chorus line of soap stars and homosexuals.

  • Alastair Campbell: They, er, sent a copy of the Queen's speech. Might want to scrape the frost off it first... Oh, I phoned them with a couple of suggestions, to make it sound like it came from a human being.

Tony Blair: Yeah, all right, Alastair.

Alastair Campbell: Well, at least the old bat's finally agreed to visit Diana's coffin.

Tony Blair: You know, when you get it wrong, you really get it wrong! That woman has given her whole life in service to her people. Fifty years doing a job SHE never wanted! A job she watched kill her father. She's executed it with honor, dignity, and, as far as I can tell, without a single blemish, and now we're all baying for her blood! All because she's struggling to lead the world in mourning for someone who... who threw everything she offered back in her face. And who, for the last few years, seemed committed 24/7 to destroying everything she holds most dear!
