Impressively, in the second half of the story, Arlo, the protagonist, is so obsessed with keeping the boy by his side that even when the boy finds his relatives, he still does not want him to leave. It wasn't until later that Arlo realized that although friendship is important, family affection is even more indispensable. Although he was reluctant, he chose to keep the boy by his family's side and embarked on the road to return home.
The boy's love for Arlo and his self-disregarding step forward and Arlo's struggle between being a friend and himself are the most moving parts of the whole film.
It's a good movie for the whole family to watch.
