From the very first meeting, maybe we were destined to be friends. Arlo was supposed to kill Spot, but he couldn't. Perhaps, he saw the same sadness in the child's eyes. Find your own way and grow. When he let Spot go, he never imagined they would ever meet again, let alone a friendship. At the most desperate time, it was the person who he had helped, who came back to his side and saved himself. Maybe Arlo hated Spot, but in that moment, he felt his heart. On the way home, they warmed to each other.
When he said he loved Spot, Arlo finally realized that Spot had become a part of his life. Even if they both have to go home in the end, they will never forget after they have been sincere to each other.
