An atypical Long's movie

I have seen the British showdown before, but I have never come here to write a film review, so I will add it today. When the film was released, I lowered my expectations because I initially lowered my expectations, but it still looked good after watching it. There are more or less logical problems in the previous dragon movies, but there are basically no obvious logical flaws in the British duel, and the characters' behavioral motives are also very well laid out, which is good.

In addition, this is an atypical Jackie Chan-style action film, with both inheritance and innovation. Watching his action movies in the past, we all know that his action scenes are very striking and rhythmic, and he likes to use props to create some laughs. But in this action scene, I basically gave up making laughing fruit, and the rhythm of the attack became messy. It seems to tell you clearly that he is a little powerless when he is old. This is very important for his role and himself. Appropriately, in a trance, I don't know if this is the role he plays, or himself. And in this movie, he did not shy away from showing the scars and bleeding caused by fighting. He is no longer the Jackie Chan who is not bad, and his pain is not exaggerated in a comic style. He uses a kind of almost A wordless way to express his stubbornness in his twilight years. Speaking of which, such a serious action movie is really rare in Jackie Chan's movies, and the new police story can be barely mentioned.

In fact, in the past Jackie Chan movies will have some protagonist halo, he plays a person who can solve troubles in most cases, but this film rarely gives him the protagonist halo, nor does it impose a sense of mission on him, you can even find that , the final action can still be successful even without him. He is no longer a man who acts on a mission, he is just a stubborn old man.

Anyway, after watching this movie, the biggest feeling is the admiration for Jackie Chan, and some distress. All in all, the British duel is still pretty good, of course, it would be even better if I could watch the English version. I accidentally bought the Mandarin version, and Zhang Guoli's dubbing is... very interesting.
