When the suspense film is lost, what is left of the suspense

Before I fell asleep, it was a story similar to fragments of memory. The hostess suffered from amnesia and woke up every day thinking that she was still 20 years old. With the help of her husband Ben, the psychiatrist Mike, and her friend Claire, she worked hard to retrieve her past memories, but slowly discovered various truths that made her uneasy. . .

As a fan of suspense films, this brief introduction and trailer made me look forward to the movie a lot. The setting of the story is very similar to the memory fragments, maybe this one can also become a suspenseful classic?
It's a pity that the director completely wasted good themes, and the whole movie is dull and sleepy.

The following serious spoilers, don’t go down if you want to watch a movie
-------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------- -

the movie's biggest problem is that wasted a major suspense: care of the household in the end who to believe?

How difficult it is to trust a person. Especially for a patient with amnesia who has lost basic judgment, who is worthy of trust is the biggest suspense.
Dr.house’s famous saying is "Everybody lies!!!" For different purposes, the people around each hostess will lie to her more or less, and among these liars, which ones are to protect her and which ones are. To harm her?
It's a pity that when I look back at the whole movie, the only person who lied to the heroine from beginning to end is Ben, played by Colin Firth. The psychiatrist has a deep affection for the heroine, and her friend Claire confessed that she had cheated on her husband as soon as she saw the heroine. This simple character setting makes a movie that could have been suspenseless.
Although there was a short period of time when the heroine began to doubt the doctor, the suspense was extremely blunt, and the resolution of the heroine's suspicion was even more inexplicable. The screenwriter ruined this promising story.

The performance of the actors is still qualified. Nicole Kidman's performance is similar to Kojima Cry. Although there are no surprises, there is no fault. Colin Firth's role as a violent man is a pleasant surprise, but the perverted atmosphere is still not enough.

In short, a suspenseful film with no suspense tastes like chewing wax, so you don't need to watch it. 2 and a half stars

    Christine: What?

    [hands her her clothes]

Ben: You had an accident. It was a bad accident. You had head injuries. And you have problems remembering things.

    Christine: What things? What...?

Ben: Everything. You store up information for a day, and when you wake up in the morning, it's all gone. You're back to your early 20s. You'll be okay. Just... trust me.

    Christine: I'm scared.

Christine: Adam... When you wake up in the morning, Pooh, what's the first thing you say to yourself?

Adam: I say, "What's for breakfast?" What do you say, Piglet?

Christine: I say... I say... "I wonder what's going to happen exciting today."

Adam: [sitting on her hospital bed] You remembered.

Christine: Oh, Adam. Adam. I remember. I remember. I remember... Adam. My Adam.
