I saw this movie on TV by chance, and the focus at the beginning was on Kate Winslet, the youngest daughter, who was lively and brave. And the more the plot goes down, the more I feel that the eldest daughter's temperament and forbearance make people familiar and distressed. Later, Baidu Film learned that it was adapted from Jane Austen's work. No wonder the temperament of the heroine is such a feeling. Colonel Brandon, who likes the youngest daughter Marianne, has always been very kind to her, but the lack of intense emotional concentration obviously did not arouse all of Marianne's enthusiasm until the appearance of young Willoughby, but unfortunately the good times did not last long. The eldest daughter Eleanor's emotional road is mostly concealment and waiting, and even a woman who is an uninvited guest appeared in the later part of the whole film. Simply, the ending is that Eleanor, who knows how to love, won her love and entered into marriage, and Marianne, who chose to be loved better, also gained a belonging that can make her warm and happy.
ps. I only remembered Alan Rickman's movie when I learned of his death today, and I didn't even notice that Colonel Brandon was actually Professor Snape from Harry Potter. I especially like Colonel Brandon's voice in Sense and Sensibility... I hope, all the way!
