Little Children--No Permanent Adult

I didn't pay attention to the English name before watching it. The Chinese translation is called "being a mother." I thought it was about a mother's love. Adults like children. The strange thing is that all the protagonists in the film have more or less their own shadows on their bodies and experiences. At the end of the film, all the "children" have grown up after experiencing their own "willfulness". All adults need a heightened awareness of their responsibilities as adults.

In fact, my biggest feeling is that before I have time to say goodbye to youth, I already have various responsibilities, and life is no longer as passionate, interesting, and free as when I was young, so I will always fantasize about intense love, eloping, playing skateboards, and playing ball like when I was young, but it's just a fantasy. As Brad said, let it go, let it go, and I don't miss it very much. Maybe everyone will go through such a bottleneck period, and then transform into another, more mature and younger self. I am afraid that there will be no more freedom like there used to be, but there is a new derivative, a new definition of love, life, passion, and responsibility.

In fact, this movie contains a lot. I'm too lazy to write it.

Little Children quotes

  • Narrator: Sexual tension is an elusive thing, but Kathy had pretty good radar for it. It was like someone had turned a knob to the right, and the radio station clicked in so loud and clear it almost knocked her over. Once she became aware of the connection between them, it seemed impossible that she'd missed it before.

  • Brad Adamson: [talking about his wife] She makes documentaries.

Sarah Pierce: Oh, like Michael Moore?

    Brad Adamson: Like PBS.
