But after watching the movie for a period of time, I slowly discovered that such an idea was actually based on not really understanding the movie. The story, which Roy used to induce Alexandra to steal the morphine for him, was his casual narration, and such a story could not have strict logic and complicated plots. And many of the sudden turns and seemingly illogical changes in the story actually change with the changes in Roy's inner activities and his relationship with Alexandra in reality. Therefore, such a simple story really needs the plot of the film, which greatly increases the authenticity of the film.
Like a lot of people who love this movie, I really like the real-life dialogue between Roy and Alexandra, so real. Much of the dialogue in the film is said to be their random dialogue, such as Catinca mistaking the 'E' for a '3', which led to the story in the film that inadvertently saved Roy's life. And the kiss between them, very cute, it should be Catinca's first kiss on screen.
Although I don't like Dalí's paintings very much, the surreal attention elements in the film are still very attractive. Then there is the beginning of the film. The background of the story is explained with black and white freeze-frame pictures, a little bit of the atmosphere of that era, coupled with Ludwig's symphony, the story has not even begun to be staged to capture me.
Catinca, who plays Alexandra, is the highlight of the film, and her innocence always makes me laugh uncontrollably. Lee Pace did not disappoint me after Pushing Daisies and Soldier's Girl, and will continue to pay attention to his works.
