The beauty of fantasy can better set off the cruelty of reality

To be honest, Swiss Army Knife Man is the movie I watched in 4 nights.

On the first night, I watched it for 15 minutes and was a little surprised.

The second night, I watched it for another 15 minutes, and then I couldn't help being surprised.

On the third night, I watched it for another half an hour. I was surprised, puzzled and regretful. I thumped my chest and wrote a short comment about the decline of Harry Potter in my heart.

On the fourth night, after watching the last 50 minutes, I fell into deep thought.

In fact, I watched the first three nights very seriously. Facing a Hank who was trapped on an isolated island like Chuck in "The Rest of the Desert Island", apart from sympathy, there was fear. follow me.

Later, Hank found the corpse of Manny and became a good friend. He also relied on a lot of rubbish to help them as props to bring the relationship between the two closer. At this time, he still did not get the reason why Hank went to the island.

At this point, the corpse Manny became the focus. He was a corpse, but he could fart. He couldn't speak at first, and his body was limp and weak, but he was as versatile as a Swiss Army Knife.

Carrying Hank swimming on the sea like a motorboat, and helping Hank fight bears like a pea shooter, and Hank can become a faucet for him to drink water when he is thirsty, and can make a fire and chop down trees. The most important thing is that under the enlightenment of Hank, he has human perception and memory, and fantasizes about women and life with Hank.

When I first learned that Daniel Radcliffe was playing a corpse, although he praised him for his courage in desperately trying to change the way of the scene and get rid of Harry Potter's halo, he never agreed to play a corpse.

After watching this movie, although Radcliffe finally brought people a different Manny, he still misses Harry, the handsome and spirited magical boy, and I believe most people are fond of the image of the Swiss Army Knife man. They are all surprised and suspicious and rejected. How can there be such a wonderful movie?

However, on the fourth night, although I finally pulled the fast-forward bar several times because I couldn't stand such a comedy style, the reversal of the plot in the last 20 minutes immediately raised the height of the movie.

It seems to be a non-mainstream absurd film of shit, urine, fart and vulgar garbage, but in fact, behind the sprouting of adolescence, it tells a big philosophy: the beauty of fantasy can better set off the cruelty of reality.

Hank is a lonely and self-isolating young man who seems to be a little abnormal to outsiders. He can't let go of life and can't think about it.

At first he didn't want to go out at all until he met Manny.

The course of life is continuous redemption and self-liberation. Hank finally got out of the lonely island in his heart because of Manny, and Manny understood the meaning of life because of Hank.

Reality is a society where people interact with each other, not an isolated island of one person. Any fantasy will come to a rocky shore through the beginning and the end.

Swiss Army Man quotes

  • Manny: Uhh... what should I do now?

Hank: Um... OK, maybe you talk to her.

Manny: Well, what do I talk about?

    Hank: Just... whatever comes naturally.

Manny: Hello. I don't know why, but I have this sudden urge to put my mouth on your mouth?

Hank: OK, that's called kissing, but you can't do that yet. That's too fast.

Manny: Oh... Uh, how 'bout if I put my penis in you?

    Hank: That's even worse.

Manny: Oh, so sorry. What about if just did the tip, like, just the very beginning...

Hank: OK, Manny, is not about sex!

  • Hank: Every day, you ride the bus and count the minutes, hoping you'll see her again.

    Manny: Oh, my God.

Hank: She smiles, and you feel a strange tingle up the back of your neck. Something carnal inside of you causes your body to break out in sweats. You feel like the luckiest man in the world. She sits alone, just like every other day, and looks out the window lost in her thoughts. You know that look. She's just as alone as you are, but she doesn't have to be. You could talk to her. Tell her you'd love to sit next to her today and every other day, because life is short, and no one deserves to ride the bus alone.
