Watching "Pacific Rim, Rise of the Thunder" is entirely because I watched "Pacific Rim" before. As the second work of the Pacific Rim series, this film has been criticized by many audiences. Generally everyone thinks that it is not as good-looking as "Pacific Rim". I feel the same way... As a commercial film by American standards, its special effects are gorgeous, the cast is luxurious, and it also includes a Chinese actor Jing Tian, but many Chinese audiences still don't buy it. Some people even think this drama is the biggest The failure is Jing Tian's participation. But I don't think it is. The reason why this show is not as good as the previous "Pacific Rim" is because its plot is too simple, it is the kind of cliché story of humans defeating monsters through hard work. This kind of story is usually seen from the beginning, and we can guess the end, so this is probably the reason why people don't buy it. But I have to say that in the climax of the film, when the war song played, the tense and exciting atmosphere and the vivid and gorgeous special effects gave me goosebumps sitting in front of the screen.
