I watched the recommended movie "Okja". I have watched "The Monster of the Han River" and "Snowpiercer", which was filmed by the director of this film, Bong Joon-ho. It can be seen that the director can still shoot something meaningful.
Everyone has seen the film, so I won't repeat it. If it is five stars to evaluate this movie, then I will give three stars, and I will explain my reasons below.
One star: for the cute Yuko in the movie
The protagonist of this film is a pig, yes, she is not only a pig, but also a super pig with a combination of various animal characteristics, with the head of a hippo and the limbs of an elephant. However, these characteristics combined into a pig looks quite cute and not offensive, but I think Yuzi has a pair of clear eyes, piercing, and seems to be able to speak.
In life, we always think that pigs are animals that eat, sleep and sleep, waiting to be slaughtered, but in fact pigs are also animals, and they have their own personalities. There is a pig farm in my hometown. When I go back to my hometown, I visit the pig farm. Once, I took pictures of the pig farm workers while they were feeding them. A few pigs seemed to be able to read my movements. They took a few bites in the trough to eat. When they heard the shutter sound of my camera, they raised their heads and looked at me, grinning at me, as if they were facing me. Laughing, I was amused by their simple and honest attitude, and I pressed the shutter again and again. No wonder the image of the second senior brother can last forever, it makes sense to think about it!
Two stars: for the kind and strong beauty
Meizi is Yuzi's little master. They have been living together since childhood, and they have long been like a family. When she learned that her grandfather took the company's gold and sold Yuzi, Meizi went down the mountain and went to the city to look for Yuzi without saying a word. The thrilling scenes of the little girl running to the company in Seoul and catching up with the train bravely on the highway made me admire her. Such truth is rare. In the end, she rescued her Yuzi from the slaughterhouse, but when she witnessed the fate of so many pigs waiting to be slaughtered, she, a little girl, had no choice but to go forward without turning back. As she walked on the long dark path outside the barbed wire, thousands of pigs howled in a low voice, the scene was mournful.
This reminds me of the pig farm in our hometown, and I once witnessed the scene of those people killing pigs. A few people drove a pig out of the pen, and then tied it up on a large table, pierced the pig's heart with a knife, and slowly waited for it to dry up the blood, the pig's howl. The loud sound can almost be heard on the entire mountain, and people have become accustomed to it. I'm a girl too scared to look, run far away blindfolded, but the pig's wailing still haunts my mind, maybe even today, I'm numb, I'm not a vegetarian, I'm not So noble, I also like to eat meat, and I would not stop eating meat because I have witnessed such a scene, it is quite helpless to think about it. Maybe there is no fairness in life at all, and the law of the jungle has always been cruel in this world.
Three stars: acting for the male god
Well, I wanted to see this movie, at first it was for this cute pig and my god Gyllenhaal. I think his characters have always been successful. This time, he played the role of Dr. Johnny, an expert who was gradually forgotten by the world, a scientific expert who filmed "Fantastic Beasts", who was hired by Mirandor as a spokesperson to monitor the 26 pigs for ten years. In fact, it is to be a puppet of a company. The scenes about him in the film are all about his lack of movement, alcoholism, incompetence, and even the disgusting picture of him forcing two pigs to mate in the laboratory and the image of the company's publicity. Irony for characters like them.
Finally, I want to talk about the foreshadowing of the first half of the movie. In the previous development of the plot, a small team calling itself ALF "Animal Rescue Organization" came out to rescue Yuzi. They hoped to let Yuzi enter the secret laboratory of the villain company, and then take some indescribable pictures, so as to be in front of the world. Expose the crimes of Mirandor. Everyone in their group is a vegetarian and has rescued a lot of animals. I thought what might happen later is that this group will help Meizi join forces to rescue all the pigs and bring the company down, but the funny thing is that the villain comes out later A big villain, Lucy's sister Nancy's appearance makes the so-called "animal rescue team" look so fragile, your heroism is like a piece of paper, as long as you are taken over by the wonderful capital villain, three seconds The clock is over. So what is the significance of your appearance in the movie, does it represent the poor little beings who have no right to resist... Maybe this film is to make such a sense of powerlessness, after all, this has never been a heroic film.
However, this makes some people feel top-heavy. In the end, Yuzi was rescued, and they returned to the mountains to live happily together, but in my opinion, no one can save the unfortunate ones. The animal protectionism foreshadowed in the first half is ridiculous at the end.
