First, briefly mention the concept of cyberpunk. Presumably everyone knows the concept of high tech, low life (high tech, low quality of life) of cyberpunk. But what I want to say here is not the bizarre sci-fi appearance of cyberpunk, but the deeper essence. What led to the emergence of the cyberpunk world? The answer is simple: multinational corporations.
In the future, multinational corporations in the world will control all aspects of people's lives. From birth to death, every link is inseparable from the company's products and services. Companies rely on monopolies and gray industries to accumulate capital. And everyone is either an alienated part of the system or a rebel. Not only did the rebels have nothing, but in the end even their dignity was wiped out by the system, leaving only life to burn. Does it sound a bit like the dark lines of this movie?
The heroine's company is an institution that colluded with family doctors and used loopholes in the system to deceive the elderly into nursing homes. If this company is like the end of the film, it will make 80 offshore companies, collude with medical institutions, and raise a group of its own lawyers. Then we can confidently announce that the old age of the American imperial people will basically be spent in Grayson's chain institutions. The only person who can sanction the heroine is Brother Red Riding Hood who was killed by the heroine's mother (obviously alluding to the MAGA fans who knew Wang), Brother Red Riding Hood had nothing, and exchanged his own life for the heroine's life. But it's useless, the company has already made a scale, no matter who is the boss, the system will continue to operate.
This film actually satirizes a lot of things. In the final analysis, the main target of attack is the white left in the United States. In the white-left world, some people and things must be treated specially: women must be kind and vulnerable; LGBTQ are vulnerable; blacks are vulnerable; physically handicapped people are vulnerable; guns must be banned Yes; medical anesthetics can be used casually.
This film is very interesting. Although these characters are unlikely to exist in reality, at least the director dares to make a voice different from that of Hollywood under the control of Bai Zuo: the protagonist is the invincible demon girl, her Lala friend He is also possessed by a halo; Big Brother Black judges can send anyone to nursing homes and mental hospitals at will without the consent of the parties; Midgets are the big brothers of the underworld; MAGA can't let them ban guns; Narcotics can't let unscrupulous doctors misused. Basically, all the points of the white left are slapped over and over again.
Personally, I feel that the director of this film, J Blakeson, is a British MAGA. Or his investor is a MAGA. If the U.S. imperialists want to reform the law and follow the path of the White Left, they may have to kill both MAGA and the old man and the old lady.
