I have known about Fellini's masterpiece "Eight and a Half" for a long time. After getting the source of the film (thanks to Cao and Yao), it took a while to watch it. This is a movie that I want to watch a second time immediately after watching it, not because it is so interesting, but because I want to revisit a certain detail and a certain scene. The most impressive scene in "Eight and a Half" appeared when Guido and his wife were arguing in a hotel room, and first they cut each other (I don't know if this is the term, it means: the characters in the camera are all single, hotel room, Guido first Go to bed, then his wife walks in, Guido speaks, his wife responds, Guido speaks, then his wife speaks...) Then Panorama, when they cut in opposite directions, they thought they were sleeping on the same bed, and after the quarrel, the camera switched to Panorama to find that they were in separate beds. The reason is that Guido still loves his wife, and his mistress is just a vent for his lust.

Basically, the film narrative is relatively smooth, with Guido as the protagonist, telling how he was tortured creatively and emotionally and how he was relieved later, reality and fantasy (dream) are intertwined, and occasionally interspersed with the childhood touched by the situation. Memories, Guido's childhood experiences are enough to explain the roots of his adult manifestations. The essence of the film lies in the dialogue between Guido and his colleagues in the penultimate scene.

As for Guido's 16-minute obscenity in the second half of the movie, I think it's okay. It is understandable that the imprint of Guido's childhood experience is here again. I clearly remember one of the female waitresses singing: We have the right to be loved until we are 70 years old. Guido's emotional world is very complicated. From what I know, the person he loves most is his wife, who is noble and intellectual, but he can't put his instinctive sexual desire or even "perverted" role-playing and sadism on his wife. , so he found an ignorant and sexy mistress. Of course, in the end, he was disappointed to find that the goddess in his mind was just an ordinary woman with ordinary desires. It can be said that I am most interested in the anatomy of the male psyche in the whole film, in the close relationship between adult adult performance and childhood experience.
