The film has been released recently, and the feedback has been good in all aspects. My husband was also very interested after reading the introduction one day, so we bought it back with great interest last weekend.
When we got home last night, we cooked a bowl of instant noodles for my husband and barely filled his stomach. We prepared Australian Merlot wine and Danish cheese and began to watch it.
I've always had a crush on Korean films, whether it's Kim Ki-duk's "Samaria Girl," "Time," or Chan-wook Park's "Old Boy," Korean films can always be stripped of seemingly bizarre experiences and events. The bamboo shoots reveal the heart and essence of people, and the comedy plots that appear from time to time can always relieve the heavy atmosphere of the film a little.
Monsters seem to be far away from our lives, but they were created because of the toxic chemicals that were deliberately (or not?) dumped into the Han River many years ago, and the peaceful life was suddenly broken. How should we deal with sudden changes? The father who loves to nap and also loves his daughter, the grandfather who seems to be obedient but can protect the family and children at critical moments, the uncle who has been unemployed and loves demonstrations and the aunt who is always hesitant to lose the gold medal. The Hyun-soo was swept away by monsters and united closely to deal with the bureaucratic police and government, the unprofessional World Health Organization officials and the medical staff standing by, as well as the turbulent Han River and brutal monsters. Everyone works hard for the family reunion, and never compromises. Although the end of the film ends in tragedy, at least the hope of life is left to the living Sejong who was saved by Hyun-soo with his life, and Han who is in heavy snow. The small food stall on the riverside is really warm.
Probably the plot is like this, the story may not be very good, but the performance of the people in the play is very good and smooth. My husband and I were so fascinated by it that we asked for a pause twice in the middle, which made our nervous little hearts that were about to pop out slow down. Take it easy. Many episodes left a deep impression on people, briefly mentioned one or two.
Episode 1:
Soo doesn't want to answer her dad's phone because her phone is too bad, but her dad quietly saves a lot of change to buy a new phone for Hyun-soo. When he opened the box of instant noodles, it was full of dime coins (but Korean won, please automatically check the ratio of Korean won to RMB), Hyun Soo pouted in disappointment, saying that he would not save enough to buy a mobile phone, but his father said, there are still A piece of coin. Then he opened two cans of cold beer and handed a glass to his daughter.
The love of a daughter is incomparable. Although there is no rich material, a father's love is the most powerful spiritual support for his daughter when she is trapped by a monster. Hyunxiu, who is full of mud, is in a huge and terrifying sewer, and even wants to drink it. Cold and bitter beer. Although Hyun-soo's mother abandoned her after giving birth to her, the love of her father, grandfather, uncle and aunt made Hyun-soo feel fulfilled. Because she did not have the sense of happiness and lack of ordinary unhealthy families, she faced powerful and terrifying monsters. When, is so strong, intelligent and calm. Although a 13-year-old girl in reality can't be so brave, I still want to believe that Hyun-soo, who has big black and white eyes, has extraordinary courage.
Plot 2: The
family thought that Hyun-soo would die if he was taken away by the monster, and the family gathered in front of the mourning hall and cried non-stop. It was a very sad scene, but the father, grandfather, uncle and aunt hugged together, and then fell to the ground crying, rolling and crying.
This kind of sadness is actually real, and this is not a sad movie, but in the face of the sudden departure of family members, I believe that venting like that can better express their inner pain.
Scenario three:
Uncle went to his college friend for help, hoping to find out where Hyun-soo called from the sewer. Uncle's friend is honest and fat, looks quite trustworthy, sneaked into his company, used his computer to check things, seems to have helped a lot, I didn't expect the damn fat man to turn around and enter the manager's room, a group of people were already waiting There, it turned out that they had set up a trap to capture the fleeing uncle. They knew that the uncle was cunning, and they arranged for them to arrest them only when the time came. Uncle didn't know it at all. He was waiting for the dead fat man to get the password. He turned around and saw the password on another table. He tried it, but he didn't expect it to be successful. When he looked up and was about to tell Fatty Fatty, he found that there were already a bunch of people around. Of course, the uncle is cunning. Of course, those powerful people can't catch him, but the uncle also broke his leg because he jumped off the bridge. Before he fell into a coma, he still had time to send a text message to his aunt to tell Hyun-soo the location of the text message.
When he woke up the next day, he was lying in front of a homeless shed, anxious to save Hyun-soo. He even borrowed soju to make Molotov cocktails from the homeless. Where would the homeless give him, but his uncle smashed it full with a wine bottle. His face was bloody, and the most unexpected thing was that at the last moment, it was the homeless who helped to put a bucket full of gasoline into the monster's mouth. The uncle who came from student sports was agile and was a first-class player in throwing Molotov cocktails. In the last throw, he missed the most critical incendiary bomb. Just when the audience's nerves were stretched as tight as the string of aunt's bow and arrow, aunt decisively and accurately shot the burning arrow at the monster, and Dad also timely Appeared, thrusting a thick steel pipe into the monster's throat.
The plot here is quite tight, the shots are well connected, the ugly big monster being killed is not good-looking, but it looks very enjoyable, and at this time Hyun Soo has stopped breathing, I am heartbroken by Hyun Soo The two emotions of leaving and enjoying the fall of the monster made me dizzy.
After the movie was over, I started discussing the plot with my husband as usual.
Obviously, the sudden attack of the monster put everyone in danger, which is easily reminiscent of SARS in 2003, with white masks and frightened eyes everywhere. As for the "suspected SARS" that I personally experienced, I really don't want to think about it. I think this film may be designed to remind the overly optimistic and easy-to-forget people that there is a chance that disaster will strike again one day.
Husband has his own point of view, he thinks the director metaphorically referred to the monster as North Korea. Of course, this is also true, whether the monster is SARS, North Korea, a tsunami, or a monster that is really mutated by radiation, or something we have never thought of and will not think of, in short, in the face of sudden and dramatic changes, Whether we should back down, panic, panic, lose our minds, or unite, trust others, be brave, be strong, it's all up to us.
In the future, I will try to reduce the plot of the film as much as possible. I think I have a narrative disorder and a logical disorder. I am afraid that after talking for a long time, everyone is still in a fog. Anyway, a video worth watching. recommend.
