I studied in a small city in the north-central part of the United States. The football team of our state university is the symbol of this city and the pride of the people here. The building of my laboratory is not far from the team stadium. Whenever there is a home game on weekends, hundreds of people will gather around the stadium and set up camp. Children dressed in varsity-colored clothes were playing football, parents were busy grilling, and old people were sitting beside their own TV, chatting, drinking, and waiting for the broadcast. The whole city is like a holiday. So I can especially appreciate the kindness of the movie that many shop owners even go out of business to support the team when it comes to game day. (Coincidentally, this year we also lost two national star QBs in the team due to injuries. The first QB injury was before the start of the season. Everyone wanted to win the national championship with the current good lineup. The second QB injury was at the end of the season. The freshman (redshirt) was originally just a substitute and was in danger. From the jerky and mistakes in the first two games, to maturity and growth, to the end of the season calmly and confidently, breaking the United States He had a touchdown record in the season and led the team to rekindle the hope of the playoffs and even win the championship. But before the last home game against the midfield of "That team up north" (OSU’s common name for a school: p ), he was surprised. The ground was hit and fractured. When he handed over his blessing and trust to the third QB, people sighed and couldn’t bear it, but they were more moved. There is nothing more than seeing one of us gradually grow into a man. It's gratifying.) Sports is a passionate thing, and winning the championship is the most impressive stroke. People always say that sports competitions are actually like wars that have evolved from ancient times. Different groups fight to the death through competitions, and then win and lose. Whenever the team he supports wins the game, it seems that he has become more confident. But when civilization has developed to this day, I feel that sports is no longer a simple strength contest between two groups of opponents, but more of a challenge and surpassing of their own limits by individuals and even humans. There is only one champion in the competition, but everyone can become a strong player in their own life. If you really love a team and a sport, the value of the game will go beyond simple wins and losses. I admire the players who are still focused and dedicated when they are leading, and they are still hardworking and not discouraged when they are moved behind. Love sports and love a spirit of surpassing oneself and being tenacious. This has nothing to do with pure victory or defeat.
