Hotel Elf 2 continues the story of the previous one. Mephis gave birth to Dennis. His mother is a vampire and his father is a human, so the story still revolves around the identity of vampires and humans.
Dracula desperately wanted Dennis to be a vampire, and made every effort to confirm it. In the process, Dennis never showed any vampire qualities. In the process of watching, I was also guessing that maybe at a certain moment in the story, he would be inspired and transformed. But seeing Dracula throw him off the tower and finally say "well he's never going to fly", I think maybe the story is that Dennis is completely human, and then Dracula learns to accept that fact and realize Humans and vampires coexist as equals.
But in the end Dennis managed to grow fangs, proving that he was a vampire. While that's understandable, after all, he's half vampire blood, but I feel a sense of loss. The story naturally develops according to the routine, and the ups and downs ahead are all paving the way for the end, but what if Dennis is only human? Mephis once said to Dracula, "You let humans into the Elf Hotel, but you didn't let humans into your heart". The ending gave me a similar feeling. Dennis, like many people (grandpa, great-grandpa, etc.) wished to become a vampire. If not, everyone would be somewhat disappointed. Is this a kind of inequality or even racial exclusion? Think vampires are superior to humans. Although they said they didn't mind Dennis being human, that was after he became a vampire. In the end, human beings still did not enter the hearts of Dracula and the old vampire.
There's no denying it's a happy ending now, but the alternative is just as good.
