It can be clearly felt that the director deliberately made the audience feel as if something is important in the first half, and we have to follow these clues firmly, but in the end, we realize that these are not really important - we sublimated the theme.
It's very similar to the model of "This Man From Earth", a group of people, a room, and a conversation that makes the audience watch it heartily, as if they were participating in that party. But there are a few differences. First of all, the overall guidance of the film to the audience is step-by-step, which is different from the mode in which "From the Earth" comes up and tells you to "let the horse come over". Strange phenomenon (the screen is broken from the middle in order to psychologically guide the release of panic, and at the same time amplify the insecurity of mobile phone users), and then people fall into a black hole of ignorance and helplessness after discovering that they have a parallel time and space with themselves (guidance). Ignorance and isolation create fear, destroying part of the psychological defense line), and later find that oneself has been mixed in various time and space and can't get out of helplessness and panic (all panic is released through violence, "visitor" means that the "protagonist" is already in extreme danger isolated and helpless), eventually fleeing, pursuing the dark side of humanity, and giving it a go.
The director is very powerful. He deliberately consumes the energy of the first half of the audience through the confrontation between the "blue" and "red" camps, creating conflicts and tensions, and people can't help but want to analyze who is the real "Hugh". However, just when everyone was confused about this issue, the director began to slowly release the signal that the multi-dimensional space is influencing each other, not just the two camps. Later, when this problem was unsolved, all the suspenseful atmosphere in front was broken through the intervention of "violence" and emotional out-of-control, and the follower Em entered another struggle.
What I admire most about the film is the sound (background music, ambient sound, character dialogue).
On the contrary, in the end, it doesn't matter who is real and who is fake. In order to have a happier life, Em is willing to take risks to recover the previous losses. It seems that more human nature should be considered. After jumping out of the restrictions of belief, morality, law, etc., and facing the darkest and greedy nature in our hearts, what can we expect? We have to make countless choices every day, and the result of each choice limits or opens up more possibilities for later life. In the end, the arrangement and combination of these choices also determines the life we are in now.
