"Ran" is Kurosawa Akira's representative work in his later years, and it is also the pinnacle of a new stage after he left Toshiro Mifune. After all, "chaos" is still about human nature, a topic that has been talked about by countless directors. Akira Kurosawa's interpretation has already been "exposed" at the beginning of the film. The naive one-word show tiger thought that his three sons were mutually Cooperating to govern the country, you can take care of your own life, but Saburo's words "in troubled times, where are brothers and sisters" made him flustered and annoyed. The words became a prophecy, and the audience watched Saburo's prophecy come true step by step, and Xiuhu, a character, wandered into the wilderness step by step. It seems that the evil of human nature has been exhausted by the words and deeds of Taro and Erlang, and then they thought that Saburo would eventually save him. Father, it will be a happy ending in the end. In the first half of the movie, people were stunned, thinking that this was all Kurosawa wanted to say, a typical "black" + "Ming" narrative structure about human nature.

However, since it is "chaotic", of course it will not be that simple. The director's thoughts and emotions are not fully invested in the protagonists, and it is the supporting characters who really write the "chaos" of human nature.
It is also the wife whose parents were killed by Ichimon Xiuhu, who was taken as the son of Xiuhu by Jonah, but Taro's wife and Erlang's wife treat hatred fundamentally differently: the former guards hatred, uses hatred as a weapon, and wants to see Ichibiji. Destroyed, and eventually died of hatred; the latter chanted sutras and worshipped Buddha, and looked down on the world's love and hatred. It seems that hatred has become like a veil, leisurely like the wind, but he can't escape the killing of desire in the end. The two have similar experiences and different attitudes, but the ends of their fates overlap. It seems that the fate in the chaotic world can be copied and copied, no matter how rushing or trickling each other, but in the end, the same "evil" and "sorrow" are merged.

Tsurumaru is a mysterious figure who is the younger brother of Erlang's wife. For the sake of his life, with the permission of Xiuwen Xiuhu, he stabbed his eyes and lived there from then on, accompanied by the sound of the flute. With a beautiful face and wearing women's clothes all day, he makes people curious and surprising, but it is not difficult for people to understand. The tragedies in troubled times are unbearable for the innocent, and he is unable to protest, so he can only resort to weakness and hide in the "compassion" he expects. Seeing that he didn't dare to jump from the ruined city in the end, I couldn't help being dumbfounded. Compared with the one-word show tiger, after Kuang Ami said "you can jump if you have the ability", he jumped from the high cliff without thinking. This is another interesting contrast set by Kurosawa Akira, which is really meaningful.

In my opinion, Kuang Ami is the most interesting character in the whole film. Such a clown who makes a living by teasing others has his own right and wrong in his heart. At a critical time, although he was "frenzy" for a time, he finally stayed with Yiwen Xiuhu, which is really touching. He seems dispensable, but his frequent, playful language is almost always the key to moving the plot forward.

Akira Kurosawa gives an intriguing ending, full of fickle and impermanent joys and sorrows. After the father and son are reunited, they are separated by life and death. Kuang Ami could not help questioning the sky, but he could not get an answer. Hirayama's last sentence was meant for Kurosawa Akira: "Don't blame the gods and Buddhas, the gods and Buddhas are also crying. He sees human beings who do all kinds of evil killing each other, and the gods and Buddhas can't save them.

" "Definition has become the normal state of human nature. "Chaos" does not only exist in "chaotic times". "Chaos" is instinctive and internalized by human beings. When the twilight falls and the team goes away, Akira Kurosawa's camera language clearly tells us that everything is not over and the story will continue.
