Staggering between ideal and reality

I think this movie has a lot of depth, far beyond the scope of love. The Phantom is the incarnation of the ideal, and Raul is the incarnation of the reality. These two men represent the entanglement between the ideal and the reality in Christine's heart. As for Christine's singing with the Phantom at her father's grave in the play, she has a line: "Although my heart is frantic against you, my soul is submissive; musical angel, I resisted you and turned my back on true perfection. "From this, we can see her belief in and pursuit of ideals, but Christine still lacks courage when facing and pursuing ideals. She will sing "give me the courage to try" at one time, and "give me" at one time. Courage to say goodbye", this is the inner contradiction in her heart when she faces the ideal of music she loves. I believe that everyone will be wandering between ideal and reality at this time. Whenever she is about to step into the ideal door, worldly happiness or other will always interrupt her at this time. She did not have the courage to choose ideals because ideals are not something that every worldly person can appreciate and accept. It's like The Phantom, Christine has a crush on him and loves him, is obsessed with music and ideals.
