cross era

Although the Black Mirror series is sci-fi, it is different from hard-core sci-fi, focusing more on human nature and brain holes. The first two seasons can make me worship. Later the quality dropped, but this single episode, let me see her come back. First, interactive, although it is not the first time in history, it is definitely a part that opens a new era. Without membership, you can't watch it, you can't pirate it, and the interactive allows the audience to control the plot, the hand of God. Second, the selectivity and uncertainty of fate. Conspiracy theories, cult sense, sci-fi, fatalism and other choices and outcomes. Third, the sadness of the background. It seems that you have a choice, and you can control a few points.

Black Mirror: Bandersnatch quotes

  • Dr. Haynes: The past is immutable, Stefan. No matter how painful it is, we can't change things. We can't choose differently with hindsight. We all have to learn to accept that.

  • Stefan Butler: I've actually had a bit of breakthrough with the game. I think I'd got bogged down before, but now I can see.

Dr. Haynes: So you finally finished it?

Stefan Butler: Finished, delivered, everything. I'd been trying to give the player too much choice. So I just went back and stripped loads out. And now they've only got the illusion of free will, but really, I decide the ending.

Dr. Haynes: And is it a happy ending?

    Stefan Butler: I think so.
