"Chasing the Barbarians"

After watching the film, the first thing I remember and the deepest impression in my mind is the beauty of New Zealand. In the film, various aerial photography, aerial photography and other camera positions show New Zealand's magnificent and boundless scenes so open and spectacular, full of infinite charm. While watching, I couldn't help thinking that Liu Shishi was going to New Zealand to take wedding photos when he got married. It turned out that it was so beautiful!
In my opinion, the plot is a bit slow and the climax is in the final War part. The child drove his uncle to avoid the pursuit, and the scene was very exciting. After that, I can understand the part about the child shooting his uncle with a gun by mistake, but I don't agree with it. In fact, they shouldn't be like this. However, the child is young and vigorous, and has just tasted the beauty of freedom, and is reluctant to go back to accept the care of the juvenile detention center. Uncle is an adult with an adult's mindset. Life is the most important thing. It's useless for children to make trouble like this. They can't escape, and surrender is the best way.
The orphanage who brought the child said that the child was very naughty and did a lot of bad things. A kind woman took him in. The child looked naughty, but he was still stunned when the woman fiercely killed the bison. That was the bloody side he had never been exposed to. He fled in the jungle with his uncle, who was his support and gave him protection and help, who had no experience in exploration. If there is no uncle, he may be lost in the jungle of Nuoda, and he can't escape the death of a word.
The overall tone of the film is still very warm, and there are some funny bridges interspersed in the middle. In pursuit of freedom while fleeing, I don't know New Zealand as a country. The country where the two escaped from the jungle has to launch a lot of police forces to arrest them. Is it the protection of human rights? All in all, the movie is worth watching.

Basically different from all the movies I've seen before, it's a completely subversive genre. The savage madness of New Zealand’s indigenous people is revealed from the bones, and it is also reflected in the audio-visual language. It is rough but rough enough, and it is a masterpiece.

An adventure fairy tale written by the old and the young.

Hunt for the Wilderpeople quotes

  • Ricky Baker: I ran out of toilet paper, give me some of yours.

    Hec: Eh?

Ricky Baker: I've gotta poop. I need to poop, you need to poop, we all poop.

    Hec: Use a leaf.

Ricky Baker: A leaf? Ugh! I hate you.

    [Ricky walks away]

    Hec: And bury it!

    Ricky Baker: I'll bury you.

  • Hec: You can take him, but I'm staying here.

Hugh: Like hell. People want answers.

    Ron: Yeah, answers.

Hec: Look, we got lost, I got injured, he's fine, it was basically a holiday.

Ricky Baker: Not a real holiday because he made me do stuff.

    Hugh: Like what?

Ricky Baker: Just stuff. He had a sore leg so he made me do things for him. It was hard at first because my hands are so soft, but I got used to it. I didn't really wanna do it, but it was the only way to survive. It wasn't always hard, sometimes I got to do my own thing. He pretty much never joined in with me though. I asked if he wanted to play with me, but he would just make me play with myself.

    Ron: I feel sick.
