Bean's Golden Week

It's ostensibly an excellent road comedy, and from Mr. Bean's superb performance, we get the laughter that accompanies the film, which of course everyone loves. But what I want to say is that I seem to see the shadow of "Forrest Gump" in it, and when I think about the whole film carefully, it is true. An intellectually disabled protagonist, because of an initial belief, regardless of the obstacles of the whole world, ran towards this goal with a single tendon, and finally did not disappoint himself. Familiar plot, right? It's just a matter of replacing Forrest Gump with Bean, running forward with going to the beach in Cannes, replacing the Vietnam War with chickens and dogs along the way, and replacing dramas with comedies.

This understanding may be a bit far-fetched, and you may feel that it is really exaggerated to forcibly put an ordinary comedy on Forrest Gump's coat, but who can say that it cannot be understood in this way? Although Mr. Bean's films are not comparable to the master-level artistic achievements of Chaplin, they are by no means a fast-food comedy that can only be laughed at. Behind the laughter, there is always a deeper connotation. This is also Bean. The reason for being one of the most memorable comedy symbols of our time.

There are so many comedies in the film market these days, which are also a surplus product of this impetuous era, but there are few such comedies that can make people laugh with tears in their eyes and heartfelt laughter. The so-called "comedy" that spoofs and stalks to forcibly create laughs, Mr. Bean's movies are truly worthy of evaluation with "art".

Finally, let's talk about a few places in the movie that impressed me a lot. The first is the opening scene in the UK. The British Isles, which were cloudy and rainy that day, contrasted sharply with Paris, France, which was sunny the next minute. I wonder if the director had any intentions in this arrangement. Secondly, the kind heroine really reminded me of "Amelie". Like Mr. Bean, she also has a common goal - to go to Cannes, one is for the future, the other is for the journey, even if she learns that it is possible on the way. Even if there is danger, they believe in their intuition unswervingly. Maybe they call it "don't forget the original intention and forge ahead". In the end, the farce of the Cannes Film Festival was saved because of her smiling face that conquered everyone. The personification of innocence, kindness, and beauty does seem to pay homage to love beauty. Finally, the only slightly negative character in the film, Director Carson. He is arrogant, feels extremely good about himself, perfidy, deceitful and hypocritical. All audiences feel that this role will not end well, but it is precisely because of Bean and the heroine Sabine. The existence of , allows Carson to have a happy ending. It seems that beauty can really change the world. Who doesn't like a happy ending. By the way, the Russian father of the little male protagonist, his son was kidnapped in a foreign country, and he actually went to the film festival. How big is his heart, um, this is very Russian. Finally, I really like the color tone of the film, the warm French sunshine color.
