Desperate Housewives 1

Women give up careers, give up entertainment, give up society, in exchange for naughty children and tired bodies - this is only the first step of a perfect mother. And a man is born the head of the family and the perfect father. They seem to know that men and women are equal, but turn a blind eye to these prejudices. Lynette loves children so much, no matter how naughty they are, how tiring they are, how much she misses her once high-spirited job, she will always say I love my children. Is this possible? Or is the TV series idealizing and morally kidnapping motherhood? How should parents and children get along? Lynette is gentle with the child, and the child treats gentleness as an indulgence, making it even more disruptive and reckless. Bree is very strict with children. She thinks she loves children, but in fact she only loves this kind of control. She only accepts that the child is happy with her values, not the child's values. It is even more pity that none of the children try to understand the mother. No one understands Zach, everyone just thinks the sudden irritability is abnormal. But I don't think people's way of venting should be static and not worth mentioning. If someone's way of venting is just exaggerated and won't really hurt others, why does society no longer accept her? Classify them as mentally ill. I don't like this kind of judging criteria. Susan is really stupid and unlucky... The plot is quite compact, but the existing resources are too vague...

Desperate Housewives quotes

  • Bree: [Rex has just admitted that he is a masochist] What the hell did your mother do to you?

  • Bree: Okay, now I want you to hold the gun like you're holding a beautiful white dove. Hold it firmly enough that it can't get away, but not so firmly that you can kill it.
