"Sorry, I'm a policeman", the wonderful subject is gradually leaving. There are several layers from semantic analysis. Tier 1: I'm actually (really) a policeman; Tier 2, I'm sorry because I made you/others think I'm not a policeman; Tier 3: To "me" myself In other words, my actual identity is a policeman, but my conduct is a bandit. Fake gangsters must catch real gangsters and fake gangsters, substantive justice is allowed, but procedural justice is not allowed; Level 4: I "deceived" you, so I will say "I'm sorry" to you.
The "Infernal Affairs" trilogy, which was the rescue work of Hong Kong movies after 2002, has become a classic, and it was also remade by Hollywood director Martin Scorsese into "The Departed" and won the Oscar statuette. "Infernal Affairs" comes from Buddhist scriptures such as "The Lotus Sutra", "Theory of Jushe", "Xuanying Yinyi", etc., which is the so-called "inferiority of the body will never die, and longevity is the great calamity in the endless hell". For this reason, the film critics' interpretation of the film is more than the framework of Buddhism, which means that Liang Chaowei and Andy Lau, two men with chaotic identities, will forever fall into the samsara path of "preventing dismantling and dismantling each other".
I am not interested in this interpretation. Starting from a Christian point of view, there are some ideas about the gradual separation of the subject and the other. Wujian is a Big One, the Big One, The Big One, and the individual who subverts it must rely on another individual Other to become its main body, and the whole is satisfied because of it. If Judas didn't betray Jesus, would it still be Judas? Jesus became Jesus because of Judas' betrayal. But it does not mean that Jesus needed Judas to betray him and drove Judas to betray him, but because Judas was Judas because he would definitely betray Jesus in order to fulfill God's plan. This sounds like the logic of the fake book "The Gospel of Judas" and Martin Scorsese's "The Last Temptation of Jesus Christ", but it's not. If Judas betrayed Peter or John, "Judas betrayal" and "field of blood" would not necessarily exist, the story of the Gospels would be a different story, and the Bible would have to be rewritten. And the story of the Lord is finally written like this, and Judas himself finally occupies a specific historical time and space and has the meaning of specific events. Jesus "could not fail" to enter the city of Jerusalem, "could not fail" to bear Peter's back and denied the Lord three times, "could not fail" to endure stripes and suffer, and "could not fail" to be martyred on the cross. How much of the meaning of "one's own will" is there? If it were entirely of one's own accord, there would be no need to ask the Father to remove the cup in Gethsemane. The double paradox of free will and destiny, the paradox was perfected on the cross. Jesus surrendered his subjectivity to the Other, and gained a new subject for himself. This is the logic of "I'm sorry" (I used to be superficial), "I'm a policeman" (I'm actually).
Identity disorder comes from a loss of subjectivity. The real and fake bandits played by Andy Lau and the real and fake bandits played by Tony Leung are not of their own will for the big and big others. Although they hope to have free will, they "have to"/"can't not". Double negation is the meaning of the title. The destined The Big One requires the surrender of subjectivity, otherwise it will fall into hell. In the undercover life of the two sides, where you come and I go back and forth, how many moments are you free to do? Even if thousands of people are unwilling, they "have to" do it, as if they are actually willing to do it. This is the collection of the Big Other to the individual.
Tony Leung's "Excuse me, I'm a messenger" is very similar to St. Paul's "Woe to me if I don't preach the gospel" (1 Corinthians 9:16). Evangelism is the destiny of the saints, inspired by the Holy Spirit, the call of God, and the needs of the believers. It is also the mission that I, Paul, cannot fail to accomplish. Evangelism seems to be done for others, but it is actually done for God/the Greater Other. It turns out that sending people to catch thieves is the same thing as preaching the gospel with saints. Since it is in role-playing, it is natural to play roles. "Sorry", I "can't not".
