Back to Basics

When people reach a certain stage, they will start to pursue the things themselves. For example, wearing clothes is to keep out the cold and not to compare the brand and beauty. For example, food is to fill the stomach and supplement the body's need for energy, not to have a higher opinion on diet than anyone else. For example, festivals are for celebrating, praying, or other things, not for marketing and sales.

For example, love is not for reproduction or marriage, but for being simply attracted by the other party.

Today is the winter solstice, and it is almost Christmas in the West. It is very fitting to see that everyone is wearing Christmas hats and preparing for the Christmas promotion.

The atmosphere of the movie is good. I like the atmosphere. Immerse yourself. The atmosphere of watching a movie, listening to music, the atmosphere of a snowy day, and the atmosphere of a festival are all important and enjoyable.

A payphone, a black and yellow hat. A black coat. A red top and a red hat. Simple set, few lines. Appropriate jazz. Lots of intense stares with chemical reactions. With the characters in the film, drinking red wine and feeling the winter, it is a joy to have a good film to watch.

Good last scene.

After reading it, I also want to take a road self-driving trip with my little friend in my lifetime.

Carol quotes

  • Therese Belivet: Have you ever been in love with a boy?

    Richard Semco: No.

Therese Belivet: But you've heard of it.

Richard Semco: Of course. I mean, have I heard of people like that? Sure.

Therese Belivet: I don't mean people like that. I just mean two people who fall in love with each other. Say, a boy and a boy. Out of the blue.

Richard Semco: I don't know anyone like that. But I'll tell you this: there's always some reason for it, in the background.

Therese Belivet: So you don't think it could just... happen to somebody. To anybody.

Richard Semco: No. I don't. What are you saying? Are you in love with a girl?

    Therese Belivet: No.

  • Therese Belivet: What town is this again?

[the morning after they first made love]

    Carol Aird: This? Waterloo.

    [laughs]

    Carol Aird: Isn't that awful?
