Some boundless associations triggered by the world financial crisis in 2008.

This is the second film I've watched about the start of the 2008 world financial crisis. The last time I watched was Bell's "The Big Short". This time at least I can understand very well what the subprime mortgage crisis is. This is much more advanced than the pink stocks and rat warehouses in "The Wolf of Wall Street". Every time I watch a movie, it's hard for me to judge the movie from the plot, acting, or other technical perspectives. Maybe I'm a very egoistic person. I always have too many feelings that I can relate to after watching it. . I'm not rich, but I won't work hard or work two part-time jobs in order to achieve better material desires, and maybe I'll call out our demons from time to time. It seems to be a little farther away. Or maybe I'm just a cowardly ant on the edge of life, and I don't know the huge temptation or pressure brought by the economic situation, so I don't care so much about money. I'm also lucky, I'm the one who enjoys the wealth accumulated by my grandparents over the previous two generations. Pulled further. What does it have to do with today's movie? But these are the feelings I have after watching this movie. The financial crisis in 2008 was an opportunity for the Chinese people. Yes, our great motherland had a great opportunity to present itself to the world at that time. The development of the capital market is staggering forward in such crises. The years that were mentioned in the movie really scared me a bit. So, how does Wall Street eat people without spitting bones, that is, those who survived the whirlpools again and again are either fast, smart, or deceitful! So brilliant! The capital market is like this, in fact, everything is like this!

Margin Call quotes

  • Sam Rogers: How old are you?

    Jared Cohen: 43.

    Sam Rogers: Jesus.

Jared Cohen: This is bizarre. It's like a... dream.

Sam Rogers: Oh, I don't know. Seems like we actually may have just woken up.

  • John Tuld: Maybe you could tell me what is going on. And please, speak as you might to a young child. Or a golden retriever. It wasn't brains that brought me here; I assure you that.
