As a veteran Men in Black movie fan who has watched the old Men in Black trilogy no less than ten times, this drama has all the MIB styles, but not the MIB bones.

The main story lines of the MIB trilogy are extremely simple. In one sentence, it is to fight the bug boss to save the earth. In the first cockroach, the queen in the second part is quite similar to the hive in this episode, and the third boris the animal is also an insect messenger. But the old version of the three has achieved two balances:

There is a balance between the tense main storyline and the playful and funny bridges, the tension between the life and death of the earth and the calm feeling of "the sky is falling and the ground is connected", and these two dramas just lost this balance. It's fine if it's gone, it's still imitating the old three, and it doesn't look like it.

The film's plot is too loose, in large part because the director knows too much what the audience wants to see. The audience wants to watch the jokes that pay homage to the three old editions, the audience wants to see Brother Hammer holding a hammer, and the audience wants to watch new technology products, the director will put them all in front of you. But in the audience's mind, if this kind of plot is not very good, it will actually reduce the score. What's more, the plot is too loose, and the main plot seems to be completed smoothly.

The tightness of the third part is impressive. The senior agents of the men in black all collapsed in front of them and their colors remained unchanged. The earth was about to destroy K's lemon pie and couldn't stop. To a large extent, K's charm is the contrast brought by the cold humor revealed in an extremely old-fashioned and serious image, and the emphasis comes from the word contrast. There is no such thing as contrast in the new movie. The heroine is a serious know-it-all, and Brother Hammer is a messed-up job. I think "Men in Black: Mindless and Unhappy" is more appropriate.

Anyway, please don't waste this IP, it hurts
